INDIVIDUAL PROPERTY WEBSITES (IPWs)
What is an IPW?
IPWs are a truly simple and elegant way to turn your photos and text into a web presence that syncs with and amplifies your marketing stratagies. They are quick, classy and full-featured, single page web sites that promote your property, portfolio and the services you provide. You may choose from one of our designer templates (designed specifically not to have that "templatey" look), or have an IPW custom designed to match your web site and branding.
What is the best way to prepare my photos for upload?
1) Pick 15-40 of the best images.
2) Save them as .jpg files, with a JPG Quality set at 7 or 8, and named in the order you want them to display (i.e. 01.jpg, 02.jpg, 03.jpg, etc.). Each image should be at least 1600 pixels at its longest edge. Sets of images that don't appear to have an order will be set to play at random.
3) Now put the resized, renamed images in a folder. Give that folder a short, descriptive name such as the property address. Do not use spaces in the file or folder names. The total size of the folder should not exceed 12 mb.
4) Finally, create a Zip File out of the folder of images so that the IPW Order Form can upload them. To create a Zip File on a PC place the cursor over the folder you wish to zip and right-click. Go to "Send To", then choose "Compressed (Zipped) Folder." On a Mac, right-click (control+click) on the folder that contains your images and choose "Compress." Make sure your .zip file is no larger than 15MB!
What programs can I use to edit and rename my images?
Use whichever program you're already acquainted with. If you do not have an image editing software that you are familiar with, then there are many different image editing software choices out there, and chances are one came bundled with your computer's operating system - such as iPhoto if you're a Mac user. Other options include: ACDSystems ACDSee, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop Elemnts, Adobe Photoshop, ArcSoft PhotoStudio, and Microsoft Picture It! and Digital Image Pro - just to name a few.
Do you edit the photos?
Yes. We make slight adjustments to all the photos before adding them to the slideshow on your IPW. We optimize the image for the web by sharpening them and enhancing the saturation and contrast. We do not make major image edits such as removing features from an images or color conversions, so make sure all your images look the way you want them to at the time you submit your order.
How much do IPWs cost?
$125.00 for creating and hosting both a branded and unbranded version of your site. A second year of hosting can be purchased for just $25 more.
Budgets are tight these days, yet your presence on the web must be maintained. We know this and created our IPWs with this specifically in mind.
What is the typical turn around time once my IPW order has been submitted?
Once your IPW Order Form and payment have been received, the typical turn around time is 24 - 48 hours, depending on our current work load. Orders placed on Fridays and Saturdays will be ready by 5pm on Monday.
